Credentials and trust
Credentials and trust
Trust matters in this work, especially where it involves young people, families and people who need extra support. Here is the background and the practical reassurance behind it. Certificates and full details are available on request.
- Experience
- Over twenty years working in health and social care, across a range of settings, alongside a lifetime spent outdoors. That background shapes how every session is held.
- Safeguarding
- The work is safeguarding-led. Where it involves young people or vulnerable adults, it follows sensible safeguarding practice and works openly with families, schools and the people around them.
- DBS
- Sam holds an enhanced DBS check. The certificate can be shared on request.
- Insurance
- Sam carries appropriate public liability insurance for the outdoor and one-to-one work. Details can be provided on request.
- First aid
- Sam holds current outdoor first aid training, and sessions are run with care, sensible risk assessment and the right kit to hand.
- Approach
- The work draws on a lifetime outdoors, mentoring and coaching, and a mindful reconnection with nature, always shaped around the individual. It is not counselling or clinical therapy.
